今月から6月まで、毎月第1週は「異文化ディスカッション」をお届けします。広島大学に学ぶ留学生をゲストに招き、東広島での学生生活や、身近な話題について、英語で話してもらいます。
今回のゲストはフィリピン出身のベア(Bea)と、ポーランド出身のクリス(Chris)です。第1回目の話題は「フィリピンとポーランド」です。

= meat, seafood or vegetables, cooked in soy sauce, garlic, and oil

= a relatively strong seasoning

= とろとろ煮える

pierogi
= Polish dumplings, often with potatoes, sauerkraut, ground meat, cheese, and fruits inside

stuffing
= food added to the inside of dumplings

vodka
= a strong alcohol made from grains or potatoes, especially popular in eastern Europe and Russia

= a 39-year-old boxer, considered one of the best boxers ever. He is still a welterweight champion today. Also, he was recently elected as a political senator.

= the second largest, and one of the oldest cities. It is located in the south. A lot of historic buildings exist there.

= the concentration camp in southern Poland, where thousands of people were killed during the war. ナチスの強制収容所
